Hubungan kuat antara Disabilities of Arm, Shoulder and Hand Score dan Modified Mayo Wrist Score dipengaruhi oleh Radius Union Scoring System dan kadar C-Reactive Protein pada pasien fraktur distal radius dengan tatalaksana konservatif

Latar Belakang
Fraktur distal radius merupakan fraktur yang paling sering terjadi pada ekstremitas atas. Tatalaksana konservatif pada fraktur ini sering menghasilkan luaran yang baik, yang dapat diukur menggunakan beberapa sistem skoring, serta sering dikaitkan dengan respon inflamasi yang terkontrol. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan apakah skor Modified Mayo Wrist Score (MMWS) dapat menjadi alternatif dari skor baku emas Disabilities of Arm, Shoulder and Hand (DASH), sekaligus melihat pengaruh skor Radius Union Scoring System (RUSS) dan penanda inflamasi C-Reactive Protein (CRP) terhadap kedua skor tersebut.
Metode
Dilakukan pengambilan sampel pasien secara konsekutif dari populasi pasien dengan fraktur distal radius yang ditatalaksana secara konservatif dengan gips. Gips dipertahankan selama 6 minggu, diikuti dengan pemeriksaan rontgen untuk menilai skor RUSS, dan pengambilan sampel darah pada minggu ke-9 untuk mengukur kadar CRP. Pada minggu ke-12 dilakukan penilaian skor DASH dan MMWS.
Hasil
Analisis korelatif menunjukkan adanya korelasi yang kuat antara skor DASH, MMWS, RUSS, dan kadar CRP.
Simpulan
Skor MMWS memiliki korelasi dengan skor DASH, sehingga penggunaannya dapat diterapkan dalam praktek klinis, serta skor RUSS yang tinggi dan CRP yang rendah dapat menghasilkan luaran fungsional yang lebih baik pada pasien dengan fraktur distal radius yang ditatalaksana secara konservatif.
